 The Quartering Away Shot Archery

For the bowhunter, this is an ideal angle. There is plenty of kill-zone area exposed and the thicker shoulder bone (scapula) is minimized to some degree. Ideally, place your arrow back behind the front shoulder about 1/3 up from the bottom of the animal. This will put the broadhead through the heart and lungs for a quick, definite sure kill.
